An essential item for welders is a good hat. The orange hat shown above is listed on Amazon as a welder's hat, but the charming young model is wearing it backwards.
The cap should be worn with the protective flap at the back to protect the welder's neck.
I paid £6.89 for this 'Safety Welding Hood Welding Cap Welding Hat', it's washable and flameproof too. It was delivered in a week or so from China, the elasticated hat comfortable and it allows secure mounting of the welding mask on my head.
It'll be warm in the winter also.
